Q
Do I need to be a member of Nuffield?
A
No you do not. Nuffield Health Club is a private members only club which does require you to join in order to use their facilities but as a CreateFit client you will not need to be a member in order to have a coaching session with us. There is no extra charge for entry as a non-member when you have your session.
Q
Where can I park?
A
Surrounding the club there are plenty of metered parking spaces, or alternatively there is the West End NCP Car Park just around the corner. The full address and all parking charges can be found on the link in the previous sentence. The Sat Nav postcode to use for the car park is - BS8 1EH.
Q
What should I bring to my swim session?
A
You'll need to please bring goggles, a towel and your swimming costume. Lockers are operated by using a 4 digit code so you don't require a coin
Q
How much are your lessons?
A
We are happy to publish all of our prices online. Prices are the same for everyone and you are able to pay for your session online when you book as this will remove the need to bring payment etc on the day allowing you to focus on your swimming only.
Q
What time should I arrive and where should I meet my coach?
A
If this is your first visit to Nuffield we recommend you allow 5-10 mins to register your visit at Nuffield reception, plus any changing time you feel you'll require. Your swimming coach is likely to already be on poolside from completing a prior coaching session, therefore please go to poolside once changed where your swim coach will meet you and begin the session from there.
Q
Do I need to be able to swim?
A
Absolutely not. We cater for all levels of swimming including non-swimmers / complete beginners. That's what we are here for so please don't feel the need to learn how to swim prior to booking a lesson with us!
Q
Do you offer group sessions?
A
We don't offer group technique sessions as we believe it is more personal, appropriate and effective delivered as 1-2-1. To receive quicker results with more specific coaching
Q
Where are you based?
A
Find our contact details and the address for Nuffield Health Club on our Contact Us page.
Q
I am worried about swimming for 45 mins
A
Don't worry, we will be giving you feedback in between swimming and this will provide plenty of rest intervals. We are happy to structure the session accordingly to ensure you're both comfortable with the learning pace as well as the physical effort that may be involved.
Q
Should I wear goggles and a swim cap?
A
We would highly recommend you wear goggles so do bring some with you. Swimming hats are only an option that you may find useful if you have long hair. Nuffield do not have a rule of having to wear swim hats.
Q
Where can I purchase goggles or swim wear?
A
Nuffield Health Club have their own shop selling a large range of goggles, hats and other swim kit but we cannot guarantee they will have the stock at all times so you may not wish to leave purchasing these until the day of your session. Other alternatives in Bristol might be the locally based Moti or even John Lewis at Cribbs Causeway. Of course online is always an option but your unable to try the goggles before you purchase them.
